See our work at the EGU!

Things are certainly different this year and whilst we’re not one of the exhibitors at this years EGU, you can still see and hear about our work.

For example, Åsa Kasimir et al will be presenting a ‘net zero’ study looking at the roll of Swedish peatlands in accumlating carbon. This is a large multi-disciplinary project, but includes GHG measurements from SkyLine2D.

Keane et al are also presenting a study that is focused on the role of peatlands. We would recommend this one as it demonstrates the use of SkyLine2D to continuously monitor GHG fluxes in longer-term experiments. Measurements have been taken over three different years to show the ecosystem-scale response to changing conditions, especially a widespread drought that occurred in 2018.

In contrasting, Stockdale et al will be discussing an agri-ecosystem experiment showing the effect of pharmaceutical-derived antibiotics on barley mesocosms. The large number of plots which SkyLine2D was able to measure in a single experiment was key to being able to examine the varying effect of different levels of pharmaceutical pollution.

Hopefully, you can hear about us this year. But if not - we’ll see you at a future EGU in person, I’m sure!
